His extensive training in both Head and Neck Surgery (Otolaryngology) and Plastic Surgery provides an extraordinary understanding of facial anatomy, bringing an added level of precision to every procedure. Outside of medicine, Dr. Pownell enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and six grandchildren. A lifelong runner, he has completed multiple marathons around the world, including the New York City Marathon twice and the Houston Marathon alongside both of his sons, an accomplishment he treasures as much as any finish line. His commitment to serving others extends beyond his practice through medical mission work in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala and active involvement in his church, reflecting the same compassion and purpose that define the care he provides each day..
